Someone once said -

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for the people who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." Amen

So hurry over time is a wasting....

With all th erain we are getting this year it looks like we will have some pretty flower beds in the spring, where is that spring anyways? We are sure cold here. :(

My Yarn Store Find and the Starburst Dish Cloth

I was visiting The Kidney Bean and she had some really pretty dishcloth designs on her blog that she got the star burst from My Tangled Threads off of Ravelry, her dishcloth is beautiful and the others she made are wonderful, be sure to hop over and take a look, they are fantastic, but the most amazing thing was the You Tube on the French Knitting Ski Story. You have to watch this video and remember that all the frames were knitted!!!

Sunday my local knit/crochet group went on a field trip and hit a couple yarn stores. I know I said no more yarn..... but I just couldn't resist. I actually bought 2 kits that I fell in love with. They are two bags, one is a shopping bag, and the other is a Hobo bag! As you can see the Hobo Bag I have already started. The colors were absolutely bright and what I called "smile" yarn. Yarn that makes you feel good... And then I got a couple of cute books to make the monkeys out of socks, and an older one on some unique projects. I also found a cute crochet top that I loved in one of th eold books and got some pretty teal Auntie cotton that will look great I think. What do you think?

Littlest Mermaid Tote Bag

Here is

my Whimsical "Little Mermaid" tote bag....isn't she the cutest? I got the idea of using the ty-dyed material to look like the ocean as background while looking for a blue materail. I think it was a much better alternative, then I added pink since my swap partner loves pink... I sent it out to her and I hope she likes it...I may make more of these with different Disney characters for my website to sell...they are sooo cute...I even added a pink key chain holder..

The Unique and Unusual

This dog would be great to shed and crochet his coat???? But where do you start???? The

Komondor Dog is quite a dog...the females are 27 inches (69cm) at the withers. Male Komondorok are a minimum of 28 inches at the withers, but many are over 30 inches tall, making this one of the larger common breeds of dog. The body is not overly coarse or heavy, however, and people unfamiliar with the breed are often surprised by how quick and agile the dogs are. Its long, thick, strikingly corded white coat (the heaviest amount of fur in the canine world) resembles dreadlocks or a mop. The puppy coat is soft and fluffy. However, the coat is wavy and tends to curl as the puppy matures. A fully mature coat is formed naturally from the soft undercoat and the coarser outer coat combining to form tassels, or cords. Some help is needed in separating the cords so the dog does not turn into one large matted mess. The length of the cords increases with time as the coat grows. Shedding is very minimal with this breed, contrary to what one might think (once cords are fully formed). The only substantial shedding occurs as a puppy before the dreadlocks fully form. The Komondor is born with only a white coat, unlike the similar-looking Puli, which is usually white, black or sometimes grayish. However, a working Komondor's coat may be discolored by the elements, and may appear off-white if not washed regularly.

Ok he is not unique but was a little unusal and weird in his day....and the coral is crochet and well done at that..the other little gut is well...unusual kind of like an alien???hmmmm ET phone home!!

Tour My House's Photo Gallery

I love framed photos and great meaningful sayings. This is one of my favorites about the "Sand dollar" Be sure to enlage it and read it.

Remember the mirror that DH needed to put up, well its up, yeah and it looks great!!!
My neice made me this old post card collage, it depics where I have lived,

vacation annually, and where I was born. It was a terrific present and I cherish it... My music box and trinket collection. I love musical things.....some are very old, some given to me by friends and family, and some I have found in antique stores, estate sales, and even a garage sale especially when I visit my sis in upstate NY.

The two girls dancing above, was a gift from a very good friend of mine.

The yellow duck is the cutest and I found him while visiting my cuz in Kansas City, MO. It actually plays singing in the rain.. :)

The old firetruck I got in Yosemite and the horse cream colored box was a gift from a work friend.

The photos are ones I have taken on trips and framed.

Except this one was actually painted by a local artist and is of one of the local beaches. Can you guess which one?

The next one is of course from our favorite annual family camping spot, Bass Lake.

The next one is from St Thomas in the Virgin Islands, where DH and I went on a cruise...was one of the prettiest places ever.
This beautiful row of Eucaliptus trees is in Morro Bay and is the prettiest pathway almost like a painting.
The sunset is from Florida on one of our visits there. It was off the beach on Treasure Island near Tampa.

Lastly is the best of all, my family gallery. They are all in Sepia tone and several generations of my family. Thanks for visiting my photo gallery!
