Someone once said -

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for the people who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." Amen

New Designs and Colors

Did you notice the change..??? Yes I decided to give the ole blog an uplift....as i was sipping on some ice tea the other day I decided to try something different for my blog.....but I want to change the fonts on my name and add my own design to the heading, but alas I am still learning that part...will have to do some research to learn...unless one of my followers can help direct me in the right direction?????

I am on my laptop as I got that virus on my desktop computer...ugh!!! Do NOT!! and I repeat DO NOT!!!! open "x" out or anything else to a pop up box that looks like it came from your computer but it DID NOT!!! It is a virus for a protection that says your computer is infected and it has a sheild and is called "Security Alert" it attaches itself to your hard drive changes your home page deletes your desktop and won't allow any windows to open but the alert window and asks you to buy it....then nothing you have lost your computer... :( the sad part is that even if you close it it will do the same soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo just shut down your computer and it should then go away... so many hackers out there is is not fun!!!!

On a more positive note I finished some of my goodie bags for my up coming Halloween party...and also working on some more necklaces for Christmas and pins out of buttons.. :)

Button pins are easy and fun to do and we all have a few old ones sitting around...so get creative and make some...

I am going to crochet a few flowers and add my button creations to their middles...if you like to swap buttons try this swap here....

Owl and Pussycat Masks GIVEAWAY!!!!

Owl and Pussycat Masks GIVEAWAY!!!!

If you like the masks there is a tutorial here. Martha Stewart has these made up. Read the famous poem below.

"The Owl and the Pussycat"
by Edward Lear

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea,
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey,
and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are, You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

Pussy said to the Owl,
'You elegant fowl!
How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married!
too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?'
They sailed away,
for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
His nose, His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

'Dear pig, are you willing to sell
for one shilling Your ring?'
Said the Piggy, 'I will.'
So they took it away,
and were married next day
by the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince,
and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand,
on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
The moon, The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon"

Making Halloween Decorations is Fun

[step 1 supplies]

I have been working a lot on Halloween...one of my "fav" holidays...and this little "Graveyard Ghosts" decoration came out really cute.. :) I got the pattern over here... here are stages of my project...I couldn't find the right gloves until I went to the $1 store and there they were in the cosmetic department...who would of thought??? I used glitter glue to paint the bow ties and also acrylic florescent paint. The bats cut out of black foam was a little harder so I enlarged the pattern a wee bit and the base was a black ceramic dish from Michael's...worked out perfect with a little florescent paint.... [step 2 and 3 paint bottom and stuff gloves]
[step 4,5,6 paint gloves, cut out bats and moon and cardboard grave sign and gravestones, glue to pop sticks as shone and write on as shown]
[lastly put all together and into bottom as shown]

Then I worked on a prize for my groups party coming up on he 22nd...this clock turned out really nice, I still need to add a few more jewels and the title "Stitching Time" on it but I think it came out nice.. :) I have a whole bunch of these old 78s so I will for sure be making more of these....they make great presents....and they are not hard to make.....see it here

Then I made this cute spider...I twisted 2 pipe cleaners fo get the legs multi colored...used large and smaller fur balls, and google eyes...
