Wow here is a giant crocheted pencil...it was erected December 13th.....too much.....D&AD will unleash the giant pencil -- like the one in November that was erected in Trafalgar Square ---- but in reality it will be a 10,000 gallon water tower sheathed in a huge crocheted pencil suit --
on Manhattan to publicize the call for entries to the D&AD Awards 2009. The project has been conceived by artist Robyn Love and executed by a dedicated team of crocheters; the pencil theme reflects the coveted Yellow Pencil and Black Pencil trophies that the D&AD awards to the finest creative and advertising projects of the year. 32 miles of Lion Brand Yarn used to make a giant crocheted cozy for a 10,000 gallon water tank. It will have the appearance of a giant pencil tip standing 16 feet high with a 41 foot circumference, made entirely with Lion Brand yarn.
