Ugly Sweater Party

Our LYG had it's Spring Party and we themed it "Ugly Sweater" and everyone dressed in one of those sweaters that are just yuck!!! Or one that we made look silly or unfinished. It was such a fun evening and I got to win one to the games we played. The prize was a basket full of yarn... :) wow....we all brought food and so our munchies break was wonderful!!! I made a yarn photo mobile with foam and past photos...

Taking the Train South

My friends and I took the train last weekend to San Juan Capistrano and went to their monthly craft fair they have the 2nd Sat of each month...that was fun and the 1st time I had ridden the train ...it was a treat and cheap...the ride was smooth and very comfortable... :)

I was amazed how fast they travel and how short of a time they stop....1 minute and they are off again...

We walked around a lot and saw a lot of vendors. I did get to talk a few and they seemed to like doing it there. One booth had a gal that made the cutest caps.. :) with mohawks...going to have to try and make one of those. And then there was another booth that had the pretiest felted bags....I loved them!!!

Another booth had uniques Celtic necklaces and I had to but one..mine is the Celtic Knot in tourqouis... :)

This tree had the strangest looking trunk and it was huge. It was down in the Historic district in front of one of the old homes. this other is of one of the old time buildings that they convert into shops...

Under the tarp was a 2 piece group playing some "coffee shop" blues. They were fun to listen to.. :)

The "Men Wanted" sign was one we passed by while looking through the antique malls ...I thought it was cute.... :)

Photos When out on the Road Around Town

Yesterday I was diving down the street by my house and this what I saw...amazing, but it looked a bit dangerous with all the cars and it was so low to the ground... never saw one of these before.. the 1st photo it is way in front of the bike and then the 2nd one I was a bit closer ..there is a guy in there... Be sure you double click on the photo to get a good look at this strange riding bike....the guy actually peddles it in there....

Then I was going through a McDonalds down by my Docs office and low and behold I had to snap a shop of this Oil pumper..."Only in So CA do you see this right next to a fast food place" :) Too funny....

I snapped this rainbow last weekend just after the rain when I was with some friends outside of Joanns...It was just peeking though the clouds...

Puzzles and Thrift Store Finds

I love my local thrift store they have wonderful items and I can spend so many hours there just wandering...here are some of my lovely finds, I have an apple necklace that matches these cute earrings perfectly...

This beautiful bax I got free with the frequent buyer card they give you. :) lucky me....it had a little scratch in the front that I touched up with a black marker...worked great!!!

All of these beads will work terrific on other items I want to make.. :) I just take them apart and Voila I have unique beads...

This hat is brand new and all crocheted and although you cannot see it there are sparkles throughtout the stitches.  Really a terrific buy....This really colorful bracelet is for me...I love how it has hidden yellow beads between the shells that are all colored. :)

The bowl is plastic and perfect for my buttons.  I am doing my jogsaw puzzles again and this was a hard one 1000 pieces..but it turned out great!!!Doesn't it really look like the light is shining?? Weird huh???  And this one is easier with bigger pieces and more color...
