Someone once said -

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for the people who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." Amen

The Shine Project "PIF"

I stumbled across a wonderful URL by a cute gal named Ashley! She has started "The Shine Project"
It is a "PIF" [Pass It Forward]  plan, where you do something nice for someone,,anyone,,and give them a card and they do the same passing on the card.

Photobucket

There is a website where you post on so you can go there and keep track of where the card goes...how great is that?

In her words how it works:

Pass It Forward was designed to get people to do little things, everyday, that makes an impact on the community around them. Pass it Forward is designed around a card. Each card is given a unique ID number. Lets say you're at McDonalds, and decide to pay for the person behind you in the drive through. You'd give the cashier the card, and tell them to pass it along to the next car when they give them the food that has been paid for. You then go home and log into the website that was on the card, and find your unique ID number. You log into it, and add your information... your first name, city, and a description of what you did....
The person behind you would pass it forward to someone else,
and then would go home and do the same thing.
From the very beginning, you will be able to track where your card goes, and how many people you affect just by doing one simple act of kindness.

Cards are available from her SHOP, portions of all proceeds go to the shine scholarship project, so you can feel good about your purchase.

Hop on over and get your cards today, and over at "Better After" you can enter a give away to win some "Shine" gifts!!!!

Pay it Forward

I have joined in on the "Pay it Forward" from Mrs B's blog. I am really busy , but it is such a fun thing to do that I have decided to join in. . Now to make items for my PIF pals. The only thing I have done here is change the rules a bit and make it a constant giving contest. You can just do it one time on your blog, but here I will be doing it all year long. What fun to give!!!

I have added to the list, I am still sending to the first 3 posts, but I am now going to draw names for 3 more PIF winners starting after the 1st 3 names. So post a comment here and join in on th e chance to be my next PIF

The guidelines:
"I will send a handmade gift to 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange after the 1st 3 posts. Then every 3 months I will draw names and pick 3 more winners to send a handmade gift to send to.

I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise!

The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."Want to participate?
  • Leave a comment on this post
  • make the same promise on your own blog.
  • Give to Random Acts of Kindness.
  • And take up to 365 days to do it in!!!

I like this idea a lot, too! So, if you're interested in participating, just post and maybe you will be one of the three of my online friends that gets picked during one of my drawings held every 3 months. Whether you are a crocheter or kniter, or maybe just want to make a new friend, just post that you would like to PIF! I'm already starting to rummage through my mind what I might like to make. And it is a great way to use my " STASH" and make some gifts!!!

I believe that it originally came from Nurhanne's blog when she got an invitation from Irene but since it is not in English I am not sure who actually started it??? No matter who I want to join in!
