Someone once said -

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for the people who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." Amen

Craft Ideas for Summer Time July 4th Fun!

front-all-done.jpg

Okay, can you guess what these are used for??? If you hop over to "Makes & Takes" you can watch a video on how to make these fun and easy "Sponge Toys" she has made them for the little ones to play with in the pool. I have a better idea for adults.

All you need are sponges and zip ties

I am thinking of making a few of these for my SnC group's picnic and using them to throw like you  would with water balloons, only these won't break but they will splash you. LOL....think of the fun getting all wet on a hot summer day? Use the same rules as with water balloons, if you drop it you're out and the winner is the last one still holding their sponge.... :)

She also has a great "cheap" idea on how to make quick flower vases out of plain glass...

Aren't these pretty?

This is a great idea, paint those stones around your garden to show what you have planted, all you need is some rocks any size, and some paint. Look at how these turned out from "Repeat Crafter Me"

Cool idea when traveling or working with a really small space...put those dice in a small plastic container, when you shake them they will not roll off the table or your lap bring them in the car, on the plane or train and play your games. Thank you "Cardigans & Curriculum" for this great idea.

or how about using it for your change or play money I play Left, Center, Right game with my LYC all the time
and we use 3 coins and this is a perfect place for me to keep mine stored
thank you C&C

OMG these are so cool...they are called Hydro Bracelets I am going to make these for my SnC gals for our picnic gifts.....they are not hard and are really interesting...watch a video on how to make them, there are beads, sequins and water inside...you could even substitute it with that gel stuff that you get for flower pots...I think I will make one today and see how it turns out...BRB

I have a ton of 1/2 pieces of fabric and not sure what to do with it until I saw these pots wrapped in fabric...wow great idea...

Now here is one for the 4th of July

There's a tutorial here

With all the hoopla about kids going out to play, I thought I would post a fun "outside" game to play for the kids...or adults...have fun over the 4th of July!!!!
